After visiting the MOMA and being captivated by Francis Alys' work, the group walked through beautiful Bryant Park to the New York City Public Library. The New York City Public Library is having a show celebrating 100 years. They showcased selected amazing items like Malcom X's journal, a letter from Christopher Columbus, 5,000 year old cuneiforms. We found out a secret that they were handing out free books that the NYCPL published at the Grand Central Station. We hurried over there and got free books and met the library's lion while listening to live music! Then we went to an opening at the International Center of Photography for the exhibition on Elliott Erwitt, Hiroshima Ground Zero 1945, Ruth Gruber Photojournalist.
